Drug Crime Law

Charged with a drug-related offense?

Many drug-related crimes carry extremely heavy jail sentences and fines. If you are ever convicted of a drug crime, that conviction will stay on your record for the rest of your life and could affect your ability to get a job, a loan, or even an apartment.

For this reason, any time you are facing drug crime charges or have been arrested for drug offenses, it is important that you take the time to consult with a drug crime defense lawyer who can give you a better understanding of the charges you are facing, your constitutional rights, and you legal options.

It is particularly important that you call for a consultation when charged with a drug crime. First, because almost all drug crimes involve searches and seizures. The Constitution protects citizens of the United States and Connecticut from Unreasonable Search and Seizure. The Constitution demands that the police operate within a set of rules while conducting searches and seizures. If the police step outside of these rules then any evidence found should be thrown out of court and not used against you. Hire me and my trained eye will evaluate the procedures used by the police in your particular case and determine if they violated your constitutional rights. Once I determine the police violated your constitutional rights I will make sure any evidence found is thrown out of court and that the charges against you are dropped.

The second reason it is particularly important to call for a consultation today is that there are several programs offered in Connecticut that are often available to people charged with drug-related offenses. Successful completion of these programs will generally result in a dismissal of the charges against you. The problem is that although these programs are generally available to most people charged with drug-related offenses the State will often object to the granting of these programs. Once hired I will fight to overcome their objection and convince the judge that you should be granted a particular program. Once I get you into a program it becomes your responsibility to successfully complete the program. Upon successful completion of the program the charges against you will likely be dropped.

Have my trained eye evaluate and fight for you. Call today.
